Personal chef- Dietitian Lauren Cobb, LD, RD

Nutrition Philosophy:  I collaborate with my clients to help them ditch the diet mentality. My goal is to support them in cultivating a healthy relationship with food so they can fully embrace and enjoy life.

What is the difference in a Nutritionist vs. Registered Dietitian?

All Registered Dietitians (RDs) are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are Registered Dietitians. While anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, becoming an RD requires meeting rigorous, standardized qualifications, which include:

  • Education: A minimum of a bachelor's degree (and as of 2024, a master’s degree) in a program that includes coursework in food and nutrition sciences, food service systems management, business, economics, sociology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, and chemistry.

  • Accredited Training: Completion of a supervised, accredited dietetic internship.

  • Examination: Successfully passing the national Registration Examination for Dietitians.

  • Ongoing Education: Maintaining registration through continuing professional education, earning at least 75 continuing education units (CEUs) every five years.

These qualifications ensure that RDs are highly trained experts in nutrition and capable of providing evidence-based, personalized care to meet a wide range of dietary needs.

Whether you’re managing diabetes, Celiac disease, food allergies, weight management, or simply prioritizing a healthier lifestyle, I bring flavor and balance to every bite.

How It Works

  1. Free In-Home Consultation:
    We’ll discuss your family’s dietary needs, preferences, and goals to create a customized plan.

  2. Seasonally Tailored Meal Plans:
    Together, we’ll design a rotating menu that highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients while keeping meals diverse and exciting.

  3. Stress-Free Meal Prep:
    I’ll come to your home, prepare multiple meals for the week, label and store them for easy access, and leave your kitchen spotless.

Pricing:

Base Package: Starts at $350 per week, which includes the cost of groceries.

  • Covers 3 meals/recipes per week with 2–6 portions per meal (thats 9-18 individual meals), offering flexibility for households of various sizes.

  • Can be dinner, lunch, breakfast or a combinations. 

  • Additional meals can be added as needed.

Lauren is a Registered Dietitian offering counseling with Brittany Jones Nutrition Group licensed in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, with a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Nutrition and an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University. With 15 years of culinary expertise and nearly a decade of nutrition experience, she specializes in eating disorders and disordered eating, working across all levels of care, including residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient settings.

Her journey in the culinary world began at age 15, igniting her passion for food and nutrition. As she advanced through professional kitchens, Lauren’s curiosity about the connection between food and well-being led her to pursue a career in culinary nutrition. She has since dedicated herself to helping individuals heal their relationships with food and challenge diet culture’s harmful impacts.

Lauren’s approach is rooted in the “All Foods Fit” philosophy and Health at Every Size (HAES) principles, emphasizing that health is not defined by size but by nurturing both body and mind. She incorporates intuitive and mindful eating practices, guiding clients to break free from restrictive dieting and develop positive, sustainable habits.

As both a chef and dietitian, Lauren offers a unique, holistic approach to nutrition care. She empowers clients with practical cooking skills and meal-planning strategies, helping them prepare meals confidently and enjoyably. Beyond her work with eating disorders, she also supports clients with diverse nutritional needs, including diabetes, gut health, cancer, and picky eating.

Lauren works with individuals aged 8 and older, providing personalized counseling, group coaching, and cooking education. She is passionate about helping clients rediscover the joy of eating and embrace nourishing their bodies.
